With a focus on offering counseling, early learning, youth and children services, housing, employee assistance, and emergency crisis assistance, Catholic Care Tasmania operates in a challenging environment where the need for effective client management is paramount.

Challenge

The challenge at hand revolved around the increasing presence of aggressive and difficult individuals within the client base. This trend was negatively impacting the staff’s ability to deliver services without incidents, thus affecting their well-being and capacity to provide quality care.

 

Solution

CCS devised a tailored solution to address the dual challenges of maintaining staff well-being and effectively managing complex client needs. The training sessions centered on enhancing self-management skills and equipping the team with effective communication tools. Additionally, participants were educated on early warning signs to preempt escalations and were provided with techniques for better self-care.
